A Systematic Literature Review of the Adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) on Life Cycle Cost (LCC)

The need for embedding sustainability in construction development contributed to the introduction of Building information Modelling (BIM) be adopted into Life Cycle Cost (LCC) process. Through BIM, project used during design can shared estimate project’s end life costs. LCC enables assess overall cost an asset (building) through its cycle via functionalities including original investment costs, maintenance expenses, operating and remaining value at life. objective this paper is discuss merging BIM four prevalent aspects; methodology, software used, benefits, challenges. A total 20 studies were reviewed upon filtering process using PRISMA method. These discussed least one aspects mentioned regarding LCC. This thus aims expanding on adoption collected sourced from peer-reviewed publications.
